Evergreen’s Chili-fused Single Estate Tuscan Mix Olive Oil has a moderate heat which works well with pizza, pasta and fish. The fresh grassy taste, smooth texture and wonderful peppery finish of the NZ olive oil still come through strong. The olive grove is located just out of Kaikohe in the winterless north at an elevation of 355 metres above sea level. Evergreen is blessed with rich free draining volcanic soil loaded with natural minerals and an ideal microclimate for the olive trees. Their products are also natural and organic as they use Wiltshire sheep grazing in the olive grove to control the weeds and homemade seaweed fertiliser which also acts as an insect resistor. Evergreen uses an Italian-made olive press located right on the property guaranteeing their oil is top quality as it’s pressed virtually as it comes off the trees.
